TALENT in a nutshell

Plantation managers are facing an increasing number of sustainability issues. The TALENT program aims at raising awareness among plantation managers in Southeast Asia through renovated training systems.

From Plantation Managers to Sustainability Managers.

The TALENT program will focus the training of present and future managers by:

  • Upgraded curricula in the campus and in the field.
  • Relying on a multidisciplinary body of experts, academics, and practitioners from France and South East Asia.
  • Fostering field actions and strengthening the relationship with key research players, from both public and private sectors.

The TALENT program will address:

  • The international agenda on environment.
  • Questioning plantation designs.
  • A new approach for agricultural commodities trade.
  • Upgraded curricula.

TALENT will target:

  • 4 countries: Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.
  • 4 agriculture and forestry sectors: rubber, palm oil, hardwood, and softwood for pulp and energy.
  • 4 target groups: students in agricultural science, plantation managers, cooperative managers and bank executives involved in the funding of agricultural programs.
